Enjoy this year in review highlighting some of the in house fellowships and community events that took place throughout the year. At Valley View, our goal is to strengthen relationships within our Christian family while also exploring meaningful ways to connect with those outside of the faith. Through these efforts, we seek to share the love of Christ and the message of salvation found in the gospel.
This video collage captures moments from activities designed for both young and old. We pray it brings a smile to your face and warms your heart, reminding you that joy, love, and peace are alive and present in the Stockton area.

2025 Year in Review

2025 Youth Devo & Game Night

Young people are important, and their spiritual development and education are paramount. We enjoyed a special evening filled with song, fun, fellowship, and games for our young people and the young at heart. Our youth not only enjoyed themselves, but also welcomed and shared the experience with their guests.

The evening included a devotional, singing, breakout activities, and concluded with smores, charades, and Nerf games in the dark. It was a joyful and meaningful time together. As we look ahead, it is our goal to plan more and do more for our youth in 2026, Lord willing.

As Scripture reminds us in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

2025 Hot August Nights Community Engagement

Every year, Valley View hosts a community engagement event to ensure our surrounding neighborhood knows that the gospel of Jesus Christ is alive, present, and accessible within their community. It is important for the church to be visible and intentional in sharing the hope found in Christ. For the message to spread effectively, the church and the community must meet one another where people are.

Evangelism can take many forms, and in today’s world it often requires fresh and meaningful ways to connect the gospel to everyday life. Hot August Nights is a free event for our neighbors that creates space for genuine conversation, fellowship, and connection. Through this event, we invite our neighbors to worship services and Bible classes, pray with them, and let them know that Valley View cares deeply for their spiritual well being. It is a day centered on fun, fellowship, and faith.

As the Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 9:22,I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”

2025 Backpack Giveaway

Meeting the needs of the youth in our community matters, not only spiritually but physically as well. Addressing physical needs often opens the door to meaningful spiritual connection. At Valley View, we encourage academic excellence alongside spiritual growth, recognizing that the church benefits from young people who are both knowledgeable and gifted.

Our backpack and school supply giveaway is a free outreach that allows us to engage with our neighbors while supporting students of all ages in their educational journey. Through this effort, we aim to encourage learning, growth, and confidence, while showing the love of Christ in practical ways.

As Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Easter 2025 & Spring Egg Hunt

Easter Sunday is a day of reflection and reverence for the incredibly powerful sacrifice made by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The resurrection stands as the most significant event in human history, affirming victory over sin and death. On this day, we worship and commune together to remember the love and sacrifice of the Lord.

We also invite our community neighbors to worship with us, giving them the opportunity to hear and respond to the call of the gospel. While the world recognizes this day as Easter Sunday and observes it as a holiday, our focus remains centered on faith and worship. The day is not about entertainment, but about honoring Christ and proclaiming His resurrection.

Following worship, we value the opportunity to connect with one another and with our community through fellowship. It is a meaningful time that encourages togetherness, strengthens relationships, and reflects the joy found in Christ.

As Scripture reminds us in Acts 2:47, “Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

First Sunday Fellowship

Every other month, we celebrate togetherness by fellowshipping with one another after our morning worship services. We are also mindful that many people today go without a warm meal or a family to share it with. On even numbered months, we intentionally come together to enjoy a time of fellowship with our church family and guests.

If you are in the Stockton area and are looking for a place to worship, we invite you to come and visit us. We will be glad to welcome you and make room for you at the front of the line.

2025 Feeding the Homeless at
St. Mary's Community Shelter

Valley View has a long standing commitment to serving the homeless in our community by providing sandwiches, toiletries, and compassionate care. The ministry of Jesus was marked by acts of mercy and kindness, and at Valley View we seek to reflect that same spirit of compassion.

This year, we partnered with St. Mary’s Community Shelter and spent a Sunday afternoon engaging in meaningful conversations, preparing and serving hot meals, and distributing blankets along with information about the church. Our youth and those young at heart participated together in this outreach, demonstrating love, service, and unity in action.

Stockton Lantern Festival

We kicked off the year at the Stockton Lantern Festival. It was a wonderful way for the congregation to ring in the new year and enjoy an evening together, letting our hair down and taking in the beautiful lights and atmosphere.

OUR MISSION

The Mission of the Valley View church of Christ is to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, to baptize them for the remission of sins, to bring them in to the fellowship and discipleship of Christ, to grow them up to maturity in Christ, to train them well to serve in works of service, and to take them home to our Lord on the last day.
